- Good impression on paper with large margins and w. foolscap watermark; small foxed spots, almost all in blank margins; old oblique fold in lower right blank corner.

= Rare. The present etching, Ter Borch's only known large scale etching, is based on a preparatory drawing of 1622, now in the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam. As pointed out in Drawings from the Ter Borch Studio Estate, vol. I, p.82, several impressions were apparently made from the plate. SEE ILLUSTRATION PLATE LXXX.
