- Fine.
= Interesting and very rare collaboration between De la Cousine and Van der Heyden, in which the photographer shot a photograph of a work from the "Horizon" series in the artist's studio. Van der Heyden has reapplied the painting to scale with blue and white oil paint in the photo. Provenance: the present owner bought it from Galerie Arti Capelli (Den Bosch) during its first and only exhibition at the Kunstrai, Amsterdam in ±1992. Since then the painting has always been in the possession of the same owner. A similar studio c-print by the same is known (without oil paint) with the title "Gebogen Horizon In Atelier, 1991-1992" and signed on verso, which also might be the case with our copy. The photograph was not examined outside its frame. The photograph is illustrated in the folded leaflet publ. with J.C.J. van der Heyden (exhib. cat. Van Abbemuseum, Eindhoven, 1983). This lot is subject to 4% resale royalties ('droit de suite') over the total amount of hammerprice and buyer's premium. SEE ILLUSTRATION PLATE XXIV.
