= One of 50 copies with a suite of the monochrome collotypes, but without the etching. Cramer Books 8; A. Umland, Picasso in Fontainebleau p.52ff. In May 1919 Serge Diaghilev commissioned Pablo Picasso to design the sets and costumes for Manuel de Falla's ballet "Le Tricorne". In London, where the piece's premiere was also held in July 1919. Picasso created numerous drawings related to the costumes, stage decoration and motif for the curtain. The designs finally selected for realisation were reproduced for this portfolio work.
