- Without vol. 2 (which deals with races and hunting). Corners and spine-ends very slightly rubbed. A very fine copy.
= Provenance: with AUTOGRAPH SIGNED DEDICATION to Th.F.A. DELPRAT: "Aan den Edelachtbaren Heer den Heer Th.F.A. Delprat met de meeste hoogachting van den schrijver N. van Es Lt. Kolonel der Rijd. Art.ie b.d. Arnhem 23 Mei 1923." AND from the library of A.E.H. SWAEN, the author of De valkerij in de Nederlanden (Zutphen, 1937), with his bookplate on upper pastedown and his manuscript note on first free endpaper "Geschenk van den Heer Th.F.A. Delprat Maart 1931". This first volume deals mainly with falconry. Both volumes, which were printed for private circulation only, rarely come onto the market and are not listed in the usual bibliographies. Autographed copies are even more of a rarity, making this copy into a unique association copy.. SEE ILLUSTRATION PLATE XLVIII.
