Most photographs show scenes in "Oud-Holland", a small town in 17th cent. style behind the Rijksmuseum, specially built for the World exhibition. The town i.a. comprised a canal, a courtyard and a market square. The reconstructed houses of the town mainly contained food and drinkfacilities, shops with so-called traditional trinkets and acts.
