75/1739 [Autographs and manuscripts]. Zagwijn, H. (1878-1954). Five AUTOGRAPH SIGNED LETTERS to "Mejuffrouw Mulder" (3x) and "Beste Jo [Mulder]" (2x), pen and ink, dated between "14 Mei 1950" - "5 October 1954", the first three letters on paper with Zagwijn's letterpress letterhead.

= A correspondence that begins with Zagwijn's interest in hearing a composition (the "kinderoperette "Rozette"") by Jo Mulder (1912-2000), but asking if he may come to a rehearsal instead of the concert, because of his busy schedule. In the following letter he compliments her with the positive reception of the work (May 1950). In the letter of December 1952 he asks her for 2 tickets for a performance of an unidentified work in the Koninklijke Schouwburg. The first letter of 1954 is about her decision to stop with her lessons because of the deteriorating health of her mother and Zagwijn's regret and sympathy for the reason of this decision (September 1954) and in the second letter (5 October 1954) Zagwijn sends his condolences to Jo Mulder on the decease of her mother. Three weeks after this letter Zagwijn died.

WITH a photographic portrait postcard of Zagwijn and an original photograph of Zagwijn on his deathbed (8,7x14 cm.).
