= Sabin 72259; Hill 1477; Cox 1752: "This is on of the earliest, and certainly the fullest, work that had hitherto been published on the Hudson Bay territory. The author mentions in his preface that he had been "six years in the countries adjoining to Hudson's Bay." The territory was not properly opened up until after 1763, when Canada passed from French into Birtish possession, and British adventurers from the great lakes began to penetrate the country."
