Lot of ±20 menu-cards, between ±1860-1935, i.a. lithogr. menu-card printed on pink paper on occasion of the laying of the first stone of the iconic HEINEKEN BREWERY building on the Stadhouderskade in Amsterdam on 17 May 1867 (not mentioning the firm's name, but showing the earlier brewery building above the menu); a lithogr. menu-card with gold lettering on occasion of the 250th year anniversary of the UNIVERSITY OF AMSTERDAM in 1882 and the 5th year anniversary in 1882 of the name-change of the "Athenaeum illustre" into the "Universiteit van Amsterdam"; a menu-card for SOCIETEIT ONS GENOEGEN (dated "Keizerskroon 30 Juin 1859"); a menu-card on occasion of the 40-year anniversary of the NEDERLANDSCHE VOETBAL-BOND (printed on pink silk (or satin), Amsterdam, 7 December 1929, R.A.I. Gebouw) and a menu-card by J. ROT : "NSF Spijskaart. Maaltijd aangeboden aan oud-illegale werkers (sters) (...) van het Nationaal Steunfonds. 26 Januari 1946. "Krasnapolsky" Amsterdam ((8)p., showing two dinner guests (a couple?) growing, over the course of their dinner from a thin and lanky couple into a corpulent couple going off to the dance floor).
