72/1136 (Alberdingk Thijm, J.A.). (Scrapbook). Scrapbook, n.d. (1841-1879), ±90 leaves, containing numerous clippings from mainly Dutch newspapers and periodicals (often dated in manuscript by J.A. Alberdingk Thijm), contemp. giltlettered "Uitknipsels 1841-") hcalf.

- Hinges weak. Binding worn along extremities.

= Oval owner's stamp of "Bibliotheca Thymiana" on first free endpaper. Varied collection of clippings, incl. the birth announcements of his two eldest children. Also includes a manuscript copy (by J. A.-Th.) of an article by D.G. on a conference held by the Internationale Vereeniging ter Bevordering van de Sociale Wetenschappen during which Alberdingk Thijm held a speech in defence of Christianity against the perceived attack of Christianity by the "infamous French and Belgian Israelites". Other issues covered are (mostly in articles by J.A. Alberdingk Thijm himself), the statue of Rembrandt, the "Vlaggen-Quaestie", Napoleon, the art of "lythoglyfie" and several book reviews.
