= Tassilo Adam was a German photographer and ethnologist. He owned a photographic studio in Yogyakarta from 1921-1926, after which he returned to Europe after contracting dysentery. This finely bound album presents a magnificent collection of images from i.a. Batavia, rural areas, kampongs, ricefields, monuments (i.a. the Borobudur) and natural wonders (i.a.
