69/5398 Anonymous (late 18th/ early 19th cent.). (Portrait of a man with a hat). Drawing, pen and ink and grey wash w. some watercolour, 7x7 cm.

= Probably by either J.P. Visser Bender (1785-1813) or H.W. Caspari (1770-1829), whose drawings J.E. Marcus (1774-1826) used for his "Studie-prentwerk" (series of 105 etched portraits of common folk). The corresponding etching (dated 1815 in the plate) included in the lot.
