= An interesting collection, containing i.a. a large number of manuscript (draft) and typescript poems, stories and chapters of novels by Steinmetz (all[?] unpublished. Some titles: "Bekentenissen", "Ook Ik Had Hem Lief", "Alleen Taart Helpt", "Een oefening van Berouw"); various (partly incomplete) manuscript and typescript versions of an interview with Gerard Reve by Steinmetz and Michiel Schmidt (partly w. related correspondence); letters (mainly drafts) by Steinmetz to Gerard Reve and Angèle Manteau (dated "1 Mei 1975", asking her to give commentary on the manuscript of De Circusjongen by Reve: "(...) Michiel Schmidt and Peter Elia. The poems and prose clearly show the influence of the work of Reve, and Steinmetz even occasionally imitates the handwriting of Reve. Also present is an undated letter (2 lvs.) to "Hare Majesteit Koningin Juliana der Nederlanden" on the "naamswijziging Van Het Reve in Reve", written by Steinmetz in the handwriting of Reve and with (4x) the signature "Gerard Reve" by Steinmetz.
