= Extremely rare pattern book, probably a trade-catalogue of a jeweller. Two leaves of the album with part of the watermark of Adriaan Rogge (18th cent. Dutch paper mill, see Churchill 81). A few of the jewels have French inscriptions (e.g. no.27: "Nos coeurs sont unis", no.100: "Souvenir precieux a mon coeur" and no.124: "Lien solide et inseparable"), some have incorporated monograms and no. 24 (a ring) has a the word "Love" inscribed.
