= Decorative celestial chart of the northern skies, depicting the signs of the zodiac in the centre and 4 observatories (i.a. of Paris and Nuremberg) in the corners.
- Doubled; sl. damage along former vertical crease(?) in right part; vague stain in upper left corner.
= Rare chart depicting the Channel from Cornwall and Brittany in the southwest to Dover and Calais in the northeast.
- A few (partly closed) tears in blank margins (1x just inside the plate).

- Both ends of trifle creased middle fold spitting; tiny tear in left blank margin; nevertheless fine.
= Fascinating map orientated west at the top, full of nice elements and details such as elephants, reindeer, wind wagons (perhaps the first depiction of these vehicles in the western world), Tartar tents, the Southern Capital Hangzhou (here written "Quianci") depicted (erroneously) as island city in the West Lake (but also more correctly depicted further south), the Chinese Wall ("contra Tartarorum (...) extructus"), and some references to historical events such as the flood of 1556. It is the first western map of China drawn directly from reports of the Portuguese mapmaker Luis Jorge de Barbuda (Ludovicus Georgius), who made a manuscript map of China which reached Ortelius via Arias Montanus. - A few (closed) marginal tears (1x larger in left margin); creased on both sides of lower middle fold (strengthened on verso).
