= The sentencing of an Amsterdam citizen to death by hanging, including a description of the entire process of the execution. Koster was sentenced "weegens Huisbraak & Dieverije", but mostly because he was a recidivist: "Denk (...) aan het Kwaad door uw bedreeven, vooral hoe meenigmaal gij de Openbaare veijligheid gestoort, en de goede order geschonden hebt en de wanordre die gij in de maatschappij Gebragt hebt, en hoe niemand voor zulken Menschen zijn besittinge veylig heeft".

AND: a letterpress broadside poem supposedly written by J.B.G. van Goch, murderer of Anna Smitshuizen, sentenced to death by beheading, dated 3 April 1778, w. sm. engr. ill. of his severed head.

Other persons mentioned: Nathaniel, Maria and Rebecca Bur, Pieter van Tarelinck and Cornelis Backer.

= Gerardus Anthony Visscher and his son-in-law Jacob van Haeften both held various important positions in the Batavian Republic. Visscher was i.a. commissioner for the Uitvoerend Bewind in the Dommel department (1799-1801) and member of the Wetgevend Lichaam in Utrecht (1801-1803); Van Haeften was i.a. member of the Vertegenwoordigend Lichaam, district Utrecht (1798-1801) and member of the Nationaal Syndicaat (1803-1805). The archive contains extensive (concept) reports and notes on domestic and foreign events such as troop movements, peace negotiations, financial and public policy affairs, i.a. on the possible compensation of the House of Orange for ceding its right and possessions to the Batavian Republic: "Joseph Bonaparte en Schimmelpenninck waaren in Mey reeds geauthoriseerd om de Schaevergoeding van den Prins van Oranje te regelen. Die zelfde Persoonen waeren ingelijks gelast om volgens het Tractaat te bepaelen, of, en Welke schaevergoeding de Bataafsche Republiek voor den afstand van Vlissingen [NB.] en Staets Vlaenderen zoude genieten." and "NB. in Januarij drong Engeland op de ontruiming van Vlissingen aen en men had hoop door de relatien die Schimmelpenninck met Cornwallis en J. Bonaparte had, dat zulks zoude geschieden, dog onze Republiek niet in staet zijnde omkoopingen te doen, of aen de enorme Eysschen van Vrankrijk het oor te leenen, heeft alles onafgedaen.". Also contains (partly secret) correspondence, incl. 7 letters to Van Haeften from "U vriend R." ostensibly discussing food supply and trade regulations but possibly written in code.

= The proceedings "Extract uit de notulen" are of a meeting by the "Committé van algemeende waakzaamheid der stad Amsterdam ", signed by the partriot Reinier Willem Tadama (1771-1812); letter by the "Commandant en Chefs de Brigade der gewapende burgermacht dezer Stad [Amsterdam], signed by the secretary of the "Burgermacht " Angelus Jacobus Cuperus (1765-1831) to W. Uylenburg, Elias Brouwer and Carel Loth "gecommitteerden van 't Committé van correspondentie der Algemeene vergadering der Wijkvergaderingen dezer stad", in which they are glad that the municipal militia is confirmed in their duties by the deputies of the city council after the dissolution of the national army council and that they will await the new plans for the city militia in the province of Holland. The small account is mentioning all kinds of small events or vicissitudes regarding patriots and orangists, i.a. the consternation after the hoisting of the Statenvlag on a slaveship in Amsterdam; the imprisonment of the former governor of Gorinchem Alexander Philip Baron van de Capelle.
