- Vaguely waterst.; trifle foxed in blank margins.

- Doubled; sl. thumbed. = Rare view showing the Great Siege of Gibraltar.
- Foxed; tears in upper and lower blank margin.
"Montagne de Gibraltar vue du coté de l'Orient". Contemp. handcol. engr. optical view after CHEVALIER RENAU, engr. French caption and legend below, without address, ±1770 (trifle soiled in blank margins).
- Trifle browned; paper partly sl. brittle leading to some scattered tiny holes. = Sixt v. Kapff K319.
- Occas. some vague brownish stains; 1x closed tear near upper edge; both sl. thumbed.

= Nice viewing box, also called "Rarekiek" in Dutch, for domestical use, w. presumably an original 18th cent. folio binding used as box. Shown at the exhibition Een extra dimensie (Teylers Museum Haarlem, 1993) and illustrated/ mentioned in the associated catalogue: R. Albers, W. van Keulen and B. Ernst, Een extra dimensie.
