= Parr/ Badger, The Photobook II, p. 32. Published on the occasion of the 1978 exhibition, Richard Misrach`s second book features fifty-four mysterious images from his "Night Desert Photographs" series. "(...) However, his masterwork in terms of book-making features the last major series that he made in black and white before turning to colour - namely his desert night scapes. Many of Misreach's early negatives were destroyed in a fire in the late 1970's, which makes this book both a valuable reference for the series as well as a compelling work".
