= One of the most famous Dutch works on the planning and cultivation of country gardens, with much attention given to fruit- and kitchen-gardens. This was the work with which De la Court introduced successful pineapple-growing in Europe, as a result of which the pineapple became a popular fruit in Europe. Kat. Orn. Berlin 3406; Springer p.42-43; Oldenburger-Ebbers/ Stehouwer, Doc.18E., no. 40, p.6-7: "(...) tot nu toe vroegst bekende verhandeling over het aanleggen van tuinen in Holland.
