= The photographs were probably made by a member of a Dutch colonial family, with family portraits, portraits of the employees, the residential home and trips. I.a. "Het de Groote Hofje te Pintoe Pesie Weltevreden", a nice series of 6 nocturnal views with illuminated buildings, 2 snapshots by KURDJIIAN of the series "Smeroe" and a series 24 views of a funeral[?] procession on Bali.

= Possibly a series of photographs taken by Peter Hunter (1913-2006), a Jewish photographer with British nationality who settled in the Netherlands in 1952 and worked as a press photographer.
