A very attractive series of playful prints, containing i.a. the four elements, the five senses, and a remarkable set of 19 "Iuventus" prints, allegorical prints showing the discoveries/ experiences of youth, including an attractive print of the delights and dangers of drinking wine ("Iuventus gulosa"), a fine vanitas print ("Iuventus artificiosa"), the experience of pride ("Iuventus periculosa") and of studiousness ("Iuventus studiosa"). The common theme of all prints of the series (apart from the title-engraving) is that they show children engaged in play or in typical children's activities. "Tactus" for instance shows children wrestling, "Gustus" shows them eating fruit, "Auditus" has children making music and "Iuventus maculosa" shows children playing at marbles. All engravings have an engraved title and a caption of 2x 2-lines below the image. SEE ILLUSTRATION PLATE LXXIV.
