- Vertical middle fold; sl. yellowed in upper part of left section (text trifle faded) and along middle fold.
= The 'letter' consists of 11 numb. parts, nearly all w. a small schematic drawing. Although the text is hardly legible, some words can be distinguished, i.a. "house of luck", "the book must be shiny gold", and at the end it is signed "Love JLB". SEE ILLUSTRATION PLATE IX.

- Cut short in upper margin, sl. affecting the image; sl. yellowed in outer margins.
= Proof of a print published in Het Overzicht, no.13 (Nov. 1922), p.13, with caption "Fransesco Cangiullo Portret van Marinetti door de verrassings-alfabet". Verso w. the collector's stamp of Emile Maeyens in lower left corner (Lugt 4178).

- Professionally restored and cleaned copy: doubled, closed tears and flattened creases and folds (still visible). Three stains in right margin, 1x within the plate-mark just touching the neck of the banjo and 1x touching the plate-mark; some (dust) soiling; ample margins on all sides, right blank margin cut sl. irregularly.
= Very rare. Breeskin 156, the 4th and final state: "Some impressions have color added by hand, such as some of the rose dots on the skirt and strokes of rose on the sleeves" (as in our copy). SEE ILLUSTRATION PLATE VIII.
