Elk boekje meet 22,5x14,5 cm. en heeft minstens twee katerns. Zesentwintig marginale drukkers hebben elk hun idee van een bloemlezing uitgewerkt. Van Dijk 241; Buckland Wright A3 c: "The book is far scarcer than the printed limitation suggests. In fact only a relatively few sets of the engravings were printed. A large number of copies without illustrations still exist, undistributed, in the form of loose sheets (...). The book contains the first copper-engravings which J.B.W. produced for book illustrations."
