= Incl. many British and French and some German portraits. I.a. a portrait of Czar Alexander I of Russia (stipple-engr. by P.H.L. VAN DE MEULEN after C. VAN WAARD); Greek freedomfighter Constantin Canaris.
- Both w. some marginal tears, not affecting the image.

- Foxed and soiled in margins.
- Lock needs some adjustment. Fine condition. = Attractive cabinet.
= Large print stand, with the possibility of displaying very large prints when the frontpanel is folded 180 degrees. SEE ILLUSTRATION PLATE CIX.
- Rubbed/ worn spots and some soiling/ stains on covers; boardedges a few worn/ dam. spots; spine worn and dam. at ends.
= Exceptionally large portfolio.
- Margins partly sl. foxed and occas. sl. frayed (not affecting the lithographs).
= On the dangers and inconveniences of travelling by horsedrawn cabriolets, fiacres, and "cabriolets de place". "Son nom vient du verbe « cabrioler », qui évoque sa légèreté mais aussi son instabilité" (Wikipedia). Scarce series, rarely found handcoloured.
= Depicting the eastern and western timpans of the Amsterdam Town Hall. The personification of the city of Amsterdam in the centre, receiving treasures from the four continents and the oceans.

FOKKE, Afbeelding der vreugdebedryven en plegtigheden die bij de aankomst en gedurende het verblyf hunner doorluchtige en koningklyke hoogheden Willem, prince van Oranje en Nassau (...) zyn voorgevallen te Amsterdam (...) (Amst., 1772).
