- Frontisp. doubled and strengthened along margin on verso; text leaves occas. fingersoiled in margins (1x stained); map of the Nieuwe Plantage dam. and restored in lower margin, but lacks small portion of lower margin (affecting caption); all plates waterstained in outer margin, affecting images (but not spoiling the handcolouring); 11 plates w. restored tears in image; final plate doubled; some plates strengthened on vero on the horizontal strip between the two plates.

= Rare. On the disturbances and plunderings in Amsterdam as part of the so-called tenants revolt (Pachtersoproer) of 1748. These uprisings started in Groningen, then Friesland and were transferred to Amsterdam. They were mostly directed against the high taxes and subsequent prices, but also against the existence of venal offices. One of the precursors of the Batavian revolution.
