= Very rare almanac for newlyweds on marriage contracts and wedding ceremonies in different countries, i.a. "van de Chineeschen", "Van de Kosakken" and "Van de Kaffers". The plates show different wedding proposals, i.a. "Huwelijks voorstel - van den Verwaande", "(...) van den Oudheidsminnaar" and "(...) van den Gierigaard".
- First vol. a few leaves cut sl. short in lower margin, just affecting text. Both vols. dogeared; second vol. frontwr. worn along fore-edge margin.
= Rare almanacs. Grand-Carteret 1304 (not listing these years).

= The first edition of the best 17th cent. description of Amsterdam, based on the works by the predecessors Dapper and Van Domselaar and on materials furnished by the author's father Isaac Commelin. The author (1636-1693) had free access to the archives of the city and therefore his work contains much more reliable sources and official documents than the works by Dapper and Van Domselaar. = Remarkable grangerized copy, containing in total 68 extra plates and portraits (many folding, and incl. 3 plates before letters) and 6 extra small letterpress publications, all concerning the fire that destroyed the Amsterdam theatre in 1772, killing 18 spectators and employees and destroying/ damaging 22 neighbouring houses. It is said that the fire was so big that it could be seen from as far off as The Hague and Utrecht. A fine collection documenting the impact of this disaster.
- Lacks frontisp. and 1 plate; fold. view w. a few holes along fold and sl. chipped in blank margins; occas. browned/ foxed (including some of the plates). Binding sl. stained; joints splitting.
