Despite its condition, an attractive map w. six sm. oval bird's eye views of African cities in top border (Alcair, Alexandria, Alger, Tunis, Tanger and Ceuta), and in left and right borders each 5 different African costumed figures. Rare.
- Vague waterstain at both ends of middle fold and in corners; vague stain in cartouche.
= Also shows the equator, tropics, longitudes and latitudes.

- Sl. yellowed, mostly along margins; sl. lighter in color along former middle fold.
= Fine copy of this attractive map showing several wild animals. SEE ILLUSTRATION PLATE CLVIII.
- Formerly folded and strengthened/ restored along former folds; some other restored spots/ sm. tears; one small portion of corner lacking (affecting border).
= Rare.
- Sl. yellowed along middle fold; trifle fingersoiled; a few sm. tears in blank margins.
= The cartouche showing a crocodile and native Americans.
- Sm. suet(?) stain in area between Greenland and Ireland; sl. overall duststaining.
= Very decorative map, an edition still showing the "Mer de l'Ouest", the mythical Sea of the West thought to lie in the northwest of North America, an idea particularly disseminated by De L'Isle and his partner Philippe Buache. The first edition of this map, of 1722, still shows a blank area north of California.
- Browned; middle fold split at ends (running into image); the head of one of the women in the scale bar cartouche almost completely rubbed/ scratched away.
= Koeman III, p.179 (94*). The 2nd state, with the privilege (given to Nicolaes Visscher II in 1682).
- Fine copy. Middle fold at both ends w. closed tear, mainly in blank margin; tiny stain; some sm. tears in lower blank margin.

- Yellowed and sl. foxed; sm. repaired tear in centre of image and at foot of middle fold.
= Nice map based on G. De L'Isle's important map of Mexico and Florida. The vignette showing gold mining operations and exchanges between Europeans and indigenous people. Dutch ships are involved in a sea battle.
- Some restored vertical creases/ tears, showing lighter than the rest of the sheet; yellowed.
= Van der Krogt/ Koeman I, 0020:1B; Burden (North-America) 246, 3rd state (of 7, before the change of address from Hondius to Janssonius).
- Some offsetting of green colouring; green somewhat discoloured to brown; a few foxed spots.
= From part V of the Zee-Fakkel, published between 1683 and 1782. Koeman IV, p.374 [156]. Shows the northeastern coastline of Argentina, with Buenos Aires (and inset plan "El Poco De Haaven van Boinos Airos"), and the entire coastline of Uruguay, with its capital Montevideo (shown as a mountain, "Monte Vedio"). Rare.
- Former folds as published; trimmed near/ to the left borderline and remargined (narrow right margin also extended); some expert restorations (strengthening) along former folds.
