Beautiful work chronicling Dutch military exploits on land and sea under William and Maurits of Nassau and the major expeditions undertaken by the Dutch to the Arctic and the East-Indies. Bergen op Zoom, Zutphen, Deventer, Nijmegen, Coevorden, Geertruidenberg, Oldenzaal, Bredevoort, Gran Canaria, the blockading by the Dutch fleet of the Flemish coast at Nieuwpoort in 1600 and the battle at Cadiz.
