La question du Buveur, Jeu de la porte du Diable, Le Moulin rouge, Le Nombre Treize, Le Jongleur, Nouveau Jeu d'adresse, Jeu des Six Boules, Le Taquin. = Nice 'Koningsbrief' or 'Driekoningenbrief'. Papertoys p.114 (w. ill.); KVCS p.431. Papertoys p.112. "(...) sinds de zestiende eeuw bekende trekprenten met 16 (soms ook met 32) afbeeldingen van allerlei personages, van koning tot zot. Deze figuren (de eigenlijke 'briefjes') werden uitgeknipt en gebruikt bij het koning-trekken op het Driekoningenfeest, dertien dagen na Kerstmis. Dan werd onder het feestvierend gezelschap een koning aangewezen, ofwel door het vinden van de boon in het toegewezen part van een koningsbrood, of door het trekken uit een omgekeerde hoed van het briefje waarop de koning stond. (...) Men begrijpt dat zulk efemeer gebruiksgoed als deze koningsbriefjes slechts bij uitzondering bewaard is gebleven."

The other three depict World War I scenes with the titles: "Ils ont torpille le Lusitania assassinant d'innocentes victimes"; "Dans leur joie de nuire les allemands ont scié les arbres fruitiers et détruit les charrues" and "La victoire des alliés assure la liberté des peuples".
- Paper on blocks partly creased. Corners of lid split.
