= One of the six so-called 'vrome kaarten', 'devout maps', which appeared in some bibles published in 1687 in Amsterdam and which were made to compete with those published by the Keur brothers in Dordrecht. They criticised the 'pagan' vignettes present on the Keur-maps. Poortman/ Augusteijn 30.4, 1st state (with the date) and p.216: "De andere vreemde kaart is die van Jerusalem. Het is geen echte stadsplattegrond, maar een afbeelding van de tempel van Salomo, getekend naar een fantasiemodel van Villalpando uit ca. 1600. In die tijd was dit model zeer geliefd (...)."
