- Printed on rather thick paper w. ample margins.

- All w. repaired dam. lower right corner, (sl.) affecting captions area and 1x touching image; some sl. foxing; all prints very vaguely stained in lower right corner.
= Untraced series, each season w. one or two lines of verse below, i.a. "De Mey maakt groen, Jan geef me een zoen" and "Een koren kroon is majers loon".
- Lacks plate 3 and 4. Extensive ms. annots. on first free endpaper; title-p. doubled; (sl.) yellowed; a few marginal tears in 1 textleaf. Vellum sl. soiled.
= Second(?) edition of the satirical work on the War of the Spanish Succession. F.M. 3155-3163. Very rare. SEE ILLUSTRATION PLATE CXXXIV.
- Sl. frayed/ sm. marginal tears (1x closed); pinholes in upper corners.
= Rare (not in F.M.); early example of lithography. The explanation below shows that the calendar works in an ingenious manner, though probably too complicated for the general public to create a great demand.
- Both trifle/ sl. foxed; ample margins. = After Peter de Wit's gobelin tapestries.

- Three small wormholes affecting the engraving. Wormtunnels just touching the portrait (strengthened w. paper on verso); stain in upper and lower margin; formerly folded; small tear in right margin; verso remains of former mounting in outer margins.

- Cut to/ just outside the framing line; sl. creased; sl. soiled and browned.
= A copy in reverse with many altered details, i.a. all the side figures are left out. Nevertheless a remarkable copy of a remarkable print. On 17th century paper with the coat of arms of Amsterdam. Bartsch XX.81.6 (copy).
- Sm. hole in blank margin.
= Rare variant on the popular theme of the additional seventh fool, the six others being the three donkeys and their riders. SEE ILLUSTRATION PLATE CXXXVI.
- Cut short in upper margin, eliminating ±6,5 cm. of sky; trimmed just inside the platemark in other margins, partly eliminating number in corner; oblique fold.
AND 5 other etchings with animals, i.a. by M. DE BYE (bull standing to the right; stain in image) and P. DE LAER (Horned cattle, to the right a shepherd sleeping. Hollstein 3).

- Tipped onto paper mount in two corners; trifle specked.

SMITH, and 2 small river landscapes monogrammed "HvD" and numb. and dated (1744) in the plate.
