Anonymous (2nd half 19th cent.). (Skating people on a frozen canal with a bridge, a peasant woman on wooden shoes in the foreground pushing a child on a sleigh in the falling snow). Drawing, thin brush and ink and grey wash, 25x36 cm.
= Nice effect of powder snow by scraping off the ink.
AND 4 late-19th cent. drawings by H. HULK showing winter landscapes (with skaters) (pencil on tinted paper, heightened w. white, each ±25x36 cm., all signed in pencil).
- Both soiled/ stained.
AND 5 other miscell. drawings, partly in oriental style. - ADDED: 4 anonymous engravings w. oriental garden scenes, early 19th cent., numb. "2" to "4" and "6" in the plate.
- Foxed; lacks upper right corner.
= Showing a fictional scene in Amboise, France in which the king of France, Francis I, regards Leonardo da Vinci's La Giaconde. On verso "Schets voor een uit te voeren aquarel".
- Pinhole in upper left corner; upper right corner lacking tiny part; sl. yellowed.

- Upper margin laid down on mount.
Anonymous (19th cent.). (Landscape with a ruin, an angler, two monks and a traveller). Drawing, brush and grey wash, 37,8x48,3 cm. - AND 18 other drawings, all 19th cent.
- Margins trifle foxed; edges cut uneven. = With a part of a watermark showing a fleur-de-lis.
- Paper sl. dustsoiled. = Watermark showing part of fleur-de-lis.
AND 3 similar drawings on various kinds of paper.
- Tipped onto mount with one corner; one corner dogeared. = Attribution to (A.) "van Beest" on verso mount.
AND 2 other drawings featuring ships, both pen and ink and grey wash, one monogrammed "P.C.W." and dated "1792" in pencil (below drawing on contemp. paper mount, drawing 12,5x19,5 cm.), the other anonymous 19th cent. on wove paper (18,5x26 cm.).
- Restored (washed?) copy w. (unobtrusive) small closed tears/ cracked creases; sl. yellowed.
- Slightly yellowed.
= Possibly by G.L. Kiers (1838-1916). Manuscript note on verso: "Uit de nalatenschap van G.L. Kiers".
- Foxed (mainly) in upper part.

= A curious drawing which show a resemblance to unused sheets of 19th century lottery games. Or perhaps a story in images. SEE ILLUSTRATION PLATE CVIII.
- Outer blank margins laid down on mount. = Nice view of a burning city.
AND 7 miscell. other prints and drawings, probably all 19th cent., i.a. a "Kermis Brief", a "Nieuw Jaar Wensch" and 4 small English watercolours, ±1870, i.a. of "Conishead Priory" and "Pot Shrigley".
- Thin spots in corners and one sm. tear due to former tipping on mount.
= Nice sketch/ study for a painting, w. annots. "br" ('bruin') and "zwart" on the cows' behinds.
AND 2 nice anonymous landscape sketches, both pencil, (late) 19th cent., one 6,5x23,5 cm. and monogrammed "J.J.C."(?), the other 13x20 cm.
- Laid down on board (old folds and (sm.) cracks/ tears visible).
- Laid down on board (w. 'moratac' foil on acid-free board, should be easy to remove from board); remnants of glue along outer margins.

- Soiled; sl. stained in outer margins; sm. hole in right margin (not affecting image); sm. scribble in ballpoint in lower right corner. Signed on verso in pencil.
= Despite its defects an attractive drawing.
