- On paper with watermark of a small crown w. monogram "GR" below. Sl. yellowed/ trifle foxed; vague whitish spot in centre of image; thin, rubbed spot at top centre.
- Slightly foxed (mainly) in upper part; trifle rubbed along outer margins.

- Doubled; sl. browned along margins; sl. cut short in part of upper margin.
Idem. (An evening view of a pedlar standing at the entrance steps to a mansion). Drawing, brush and black ink and grey wash, 11,4x8 cm., signed "H.P. Oosterhuis del." in pen and ink.
- Laid down; sl. dam. (sm. tear and some rubbing) in outer upper left corner.

= Early method of copying images. A drawing was made on paper and very delicately perforated along the lines. By blowing finely ground soot through the tiny holes, the image was reproduced on a background and could easily be finished by hand. The drawings in this lot prob. used for wall decoration, incl. patterns w. putti, flowering branches, peacocks and a dog.
WITH: 2 pieces of handpainted wallpaper (18th cent.) and a small leaf w. pattern design in pencil.
- Sl. yellowed and foxed; a few sm. brown stains. Tipped onto mount.
= Interesting drawing showing a map of the Russian empire flanked by a bear and a man in Russian costume.
