The four parts at the end of vol. 2 contain the Dutch translation of Regimen Sanitatis Salernitatis, popular meteorological knowledge/ forecasts/ superstitions etc. His first work was sold out within weeks so soon that Tuinman felt encouraged to write the second volume: "De overspoedige vertiering van myne Nederduitsche Spreekwoorden, binnen weynige weeken in 't voorleden jaar, waar door duizend opgelegde exemplaaren alle de liefhebbers noch niet konden geryven, deden my zien, dat myne nieuwe onderneming den Vaderlanderen aangenaam was. Ik vond my hierdoor aangespoort schoon ik gedacht had het by 't eerste Stuk te laten berusten, om alle schuifladen myner geheugenis om te schommelen, en te zien of daar in niet meer schuilde (...)"
