= Nothing could be traced on the series. Attribution on the basis of the tentative attribution in the Noord Hollands Archief. With pencil annotations in two different hands indicating "uitgegeven door J.H. de Bois" and the identification of the image in French, preceded by the plate number. Each print is loosely tipped onto a mount with a manuscript (pen and ink) ticket indicating the location in Dutch, with some extra (historical) information: "Visschershofje" ("Pl. II. Coin de Masures à Haarlem"); "Restant van Veenberg, tegenover Wildhoef in Bloemendaal (...)" ("Pl. III. Petite ferme Hollandaise"); "Spaarne, bij de Houtmarkt" ("Pl. V. Au Bord de la Spaarne, Haarlem"); "Burgwal - Hoek Spaarnwouderstraat" ("Pl. XI. Une Rue à Haarlem", with an extra albumen print of the same location tipped onto mount); "Gezicht van het Spaarne op de koepel van de gevangenis. Rechts de Bleekersstraat" ("Pl. VIII. = Harlemia Illustrata 586: "Ook voor Enschedé maakte hij [Van Noorde] in 1764 twee grote etsen (ca. 28 x 43 cm.) met gezichten op de Grote Markt. Eén in westelijke richting met het stadhuis en één in Oostelijke richting met de grote kerk. De platen bleven in het bezit van de firma Enschedé en zijn in later jaren nog diverse malen afgedrukt. Deze afdrukken op modern papier waren een geliefd afscheidscadeau voor medewerkers van de firma. Achttiende eeuwse zijn zeldzaam." Probably a later 19th cent. impression.
