= Attractive photograph by a photographer of whom not much is known other than that he worked in Abyssinia during the Italo-Abyssinian war (1887-1888).

Albumen print, 20x26 cm., tipped onto mount (trifle stained in margins). - AND 3 other albumen prints: two by Zangaki: "Palais de Vice Roi à Chantier VI" (a few tears in margins) and "Rue de la Place de Lesseps à Port Saïd" (some vague creases) and one by C. SAROLIDES of "La Pyramide Cheffren" (on verso of the mount of the first print of this lot).

= Remarkable family album chronologically arranged. According to the author of the album (most likely Jacob Eskens), seven photographs of family members in different settings in Amsterdam were made by Jacob Olie (1834-1905). Jacob Olie was possibly related to the mother, Geertruide Kost, a daughter of Gerbrand Kost and Maria Olie. A rich family album containing numerous photographs that tell the story of the family of Dirk Eskens and Geertrui Kost and their three children, Jacob, Gerbrand and Dirk.
- A few wrinkled/ sl. faded.
