Part II is complete apart from 1 blank leaf at the end. Part III lacks 3 preliminary textlvs., and at the end 1 blank and the errata leaf ("replaced" by "the table of the names of herbes", "Nomina auctorum per quos in hebrario mei profeci" and "The table", not listed in Herney I, 368). = The title-p. of this work is the title-p. of a 4th part added to some copies. Pollard/ Redgrave explain this as follows (24352): "[A Booke of the natures and properties, as well of the bathes in England", was] also issued as pt. of No. 24367 ["The first and seconde partes of the herbal lately ouersene, with the thirde parte"]". "The first original scientific herbal written by an Englishman and the first scientific herbal published in the English language" (Garrison/ Morton 1811).
