This edition not in Vicaire. Carteret (I, p.235) explains why the The Hague/ Brussels edition is often not listed: "Meline [The publisher], citoyen français, s'étant volotontairement proscrit en 1832 parce que recherché à la suite d'un mouvement révolutionnaire à Paris, s'était associé avec l'éditeur belge Cans et ils publièrent les nombreuses contrefaçons que l'on connaît; éditions souvent expurgées. C'est ansi, ô candeur, qu'ils allèrent jusqu'à supprimer, dans Les Trois Mousquetaires et Le Compte de Monte-Christo [1845], des paragraphes bien peu lestes qui eussent pu déplaire à la bourgeoisie bruxelloise d'alors qui était fort gourmée".
