Espenhorst calls for 35 maps, but our copy calling for 33 in the list of contents. All maps with contemp. ms. addition of numbers, Roman numerals, letters and occas. names and borders. Rare.

In his atlas he has introduced for the first time a correct choropleth map of the Netherlands. The contents of the original Historical Atlas of 1865 is on a very high cartographical level.
