- Printed on verso of (a discarded) lower left sheet of the four-sheet wallmap "Nieuwe Plattegrond der Stad Rotterdam" published by the same (1796/ 1797; cut short in upper and lower margin). The 'Amsterdam-side' w. a few vague stains in corners of image.

= A fine copy of this very rare and interesting plan, in this state ready to be mounted on linen (the loose title-piece to be pasted in the title-cartouche). The plan was issued at the beginning of the Batavian Republic, and shows some revolutionary changes in topographical names such as "'t Revolutie Plein" (the Dam) and "Burgerplein" (Koningsplein). Hameleers I, 136, 3rd ed., variant 1: "De enige wijziging ten opzichte van de tweede uitgave is de aangebrachte kompasroos boven het anker ter rechterzijde van de titelcartouche"; D'Ailly 334.
