The sheets joined in such way that the blank margins are still visible.

- Most maps have offsetting of opposite maps and are sl. yellowed; some lower blank corners of first few sheets torn off; owner's stamp on upper pastedown. Corners and spine-ends trifle rubbed.

= Extremely rare map of Holland and Utrecht, originally drawn and published by J.A. COLOM, first published in 1639, a second edition in 1647 and possibly a third in 1661. After Colom's death Frederik de Wit acquired the copperplates and published a somewhat altered edition of the map. This is the first of two states of the map. The first state of the 1681 edition contains the fiery column (J.A. Colom's logo) over the title-cartouche, and the cities Heusden and Naarden are shown in an unexpanded state. In the second state Colom's logo has been removed and both Heusden and Naarden are shown with latest alterations and additions. Only three copies of the present edition listed in Sijmons/ Van Eeghen, Jacob Aertsz Colom's Kaart van Holland (only one of which in the Netherlands, in University Library of Leyden University).
