= A remarkable copy of this map, which usually has an engr. diagram below indicating the depth of the rivers. This differs in that it has a handcol. and manuscript diagram of these river depths to the left of the map and extensive anonymous annotations in the lower and righthand margins, as well as a manuscript title in the upper margin that indicates the purpose of this map: "Holland en Utrechts Water Gevaer van wegens het Aenkomend Bovenwater op de Lek met de hulpmiddelen." The extensive annotations in the lower and right margin concern the measures that have to be taken to protect the provinces of Holland and Utrecht from inundations. These annotations can dated to after 1761, which is the latest reference made in the list on the right side of the map titled "Lijste der Dijckbreuken welke sedert den Jaare 1740, gevallen zijn, zo als dezelve eenige relatie hebben op de Lek-dijken voornamelijk ten Noorden, en hier met Roode Capitaale Letteren zijn getekend."
