= In total 88 plates were made by Lutgers for his views of The Hague and Leyden and surroundings. Mostly views of country houses and estates in Voorschoten (i.a. Adegeest, Vredehoef, Ter Wadding) and Leidschendam/ Voorburg.
- Folds as publ. and w. a few strengthened spots on (corners of) folds on verso.

= According to the legend in the left margin the map was copied after the following copiests: J. HOORENBOUT (anno 1540), J. ELANTS (1651), PIERSENS FILIUS HERMAN (1714), P. HORLEWIJN (1761) and JACOBUS VAN DE VELDE (1764). The legend opens with a short explanation of the basis of this map: "ten tijden van den grave Dampiers Grave van vlaenderen, was de gelegendheid van dese caarte figurative betoogd. in den Jare 1173. was groot opperwater dat den dijk doorbrak te damme, dat men daar nae noemde honsdamme, en de Wielingen braken door Ao. 1176. den voorsz; grave Regeerde tot in den Jare 1273. En in den Jare 1377 den 12 november, ten tijde van de Graef lodewijk van male, verdronken dese naevolgende Parochien: De Piet de Stadt biervliet willemine clooster bentille Rouselaer, henderick, hellemare, Schoondijjk, Gaternisse St Nicolaes, St Margriet oostmankerke, (dat men nu noemd osmandt kappel) St. Jan in de Woestijne St. Catelijn, Hamans Klinke Kerk (nu houkerke) watervliet, nieuwhuigensvliet Couchoute, en volmerbeek Enz. dese kaart is gemaekt, gecopieert en geteikend, bij den Ingenieur en Landmeter Jacques hoorenbout anno 1540 [after this follows the list of copiests over the ensueing centuries as mentioned above]."
