For the etching by Rembrandt: New Hollstein 123 ii/ii; White/ Boon 111/II; H. de la Fontaine Verwey, Uit de wereld van het boek II, p.130-131; Ackley 84. (exhib. cat. Goed gezien. Tien eeuwen wetenschap in handschrift en druk, no.33 (Leyden U.B.,1987)). The allegorical etching, showing the "Ship of Fortune", is one of the 6 etchings Rembrandt Van Rijn made for 3 bookpublications. For Basse: see Hollstein I, 49-65. SEE ILLUSTRATION PLATE XCV.
