= Rare. Reflex copy reprint after the edition of Paris, 1855, but with real colour lithographs. Borba de Moraes I, 167/8: "This monumental work is today still of great scientific value, and is sought after not only for its scientific content, but also by bibliophiles because of the very beautiful coloured plates. The rarity and scientific interest of this work encouraged German publishers to reproduce it in 1922 by a photomechanical process. Although lacking the value of the original edition, this reproduction is, even so, uncommon, as a greater part was purchased by scientific institutions."
