= Rare complete series. Curious series in which children are dressed in the costumes of the armies participating in the Crimean war, i.a. British, Russians and Turks. The series starts with relatively innocent scenes but ends with views of children during battle or wounded. The artist also made a companion series called "Retour de Crimée".
- Trimmed to the borderline, cutting off the Roman numbers in the upper margin; tipped onto mounts; no.4, 9 and 10 w. dam./ chipped corners; a few other sm. unobtrusive defects.
