= Part of a rare series of 4 prints, representing the Four Seasons (the others by Theodor Galle and Egbert van Panderen). Hollstein 12, 3rd state, not mentioned in Hollstein (no 1. in the left corner instead of right). Susanna Verbruggen was an Antwerp publisher (act. 1710-1752), mostly known for devotional prints.
AND the same print in the first state (without the word "VER" in the sky), cut on the borderline, left edge repaired and right and left edge trimmed short, w. loss of image.
- Good impression. Tipped onto mount. = Hollstein 410, 1st state (of 3).

- Lower margin diagonally trimmed short (0-1,5 cm.), sl. affecting image; tiny tear in right margin touching the image; nevertheless an attractive print.

- Vertical closed tear in centre of caption and ±5 cm. into the image; sm. restorations on verso in upper corners; one sm. wormhole; agetoned w. a few brown specks.
= Very rare. Hollstein 7, 1st state of 2. Part of a series of 4 prints showing Allegories on the medical profession. Partly copied (in reverse) after the series on the same subject by the atelier of Hendrick Goltzius.
Dolendo, Zacharias (1561-±1604). Crucifixion. Engraving after Karel VAN MANDER, 15,4x10,8 cm., w. the address of Jacques de Gheyn, numb. "10".
= New Hollstein 46, 1st state of 2. With the collector's mark of P.M. van Doorne (1896-1971) (Lugt 4731) and an unidentified collector (Lugt 2641b).
AND 9 others, i.a. by Philips GALLE and José DE RIBERA (poor copy of Saint Jerome hearing the Trumpet of the Last Judgment) and an anonymous engraving "Domus Israel" (Jesaja 5, Israel as the vineyard of God) from the polyglot bible printed by Christopher Plantin (1569-1573).

- All w. vaguely visible flattened horizontal central fold. Otherwise fine.

- Sm. closed horizontal tear in right margin, ±1 cm. within the image.
= Rare. Part of a series the Four Seasons. Cf. Hollstein 319-326, only mentioning one series, but there seem to be more than one series of ladies representing the Seaons. It appears to be that there is a series of ladies in costume standing next to a table. And the Rijksmuseum holds two of the four (spring and fall).
