(Dillen, Georg van (act. 1800-1830)). (Two travellers walking along a stream in a wooded landscape). Drawing, pen and ink, 18x24,8 cm. Bendorp, Johann (1767-1849). (An angler and a passer by near a bridge and farm). Drawing, brush and grey wash, 6,7x12 cm., signed and dated "1782" in pen and ink on verso.
= On 17th/ 18th century laid paper.
= Pronk made a watercolour of the same composition, dated 1701, with some small different details (in the collection of the Rijksmuseum).
- With (foxed) extended margins; a few sm. and vague greyish spots in sky area and in lower border outside framing lines.
= The exterior of the havezathe Boxbergen has changed significantly over the years. This watercolour shows it as it had been since it was rebuilt in the years between 1650-1653, after it was destroyed by a fire. Provenance: sold as lot 120 in the catalogue "Dessins topographiques.
