= With manuscript ticket on verso frame: "Dit is de ouderlijke woning van overgrootvader B.G. de Winter te Apeldoorn Swolschweg[?] N.147. Vervaardigd door H. de Winter 1854. Oud 74 jaar 1928". Remarkable collage made entirely of shredded postal stamps.

= Baron Scotford was a prolific American silhouette artist, who rapidly cut free hand silhouettes for over 30 years (±1910-1940). He moved to Europe around 1910 and toured in various European cities until settling down in London in 1912.
