= Concerning the various exlibris designs: "Hierbij ingesloten een schetsje voor je exlibris. Ik vond toevallig het blokje met dat engeltje terug dat roosjes werpt [...]. Dat rood engeltje mag je gerust hebben, ik dacht dat het kon passen voor een ouderwets uithangbord (cartouche in Renaissancestijl)" and "Hierbij ingesloten stuur ik je de eerste proefdrukken op Japans papier van je exlibris, samen met de schetsjes."
