= Rich collection, comprising the following: vol. I: 28 pamphlets dating from the years 1647-1667; vol. II-V:157 pamphlets all but a few published in the "Rampjaar" (annus horribilis) 1672, the year of the Franco-Dutch war, the Third Anglo-Dutch War and the murder of the brothers De Witt. All vols. commence with a numbered late 19th cent. manuscript list of contents, each number with the relevant Tiele number. A few publications could not be traced in the usual reference works. The work consists of 60 full-page plates within different ornamental borders, w. engr. captions in French, English, German and Dutch, illustrating the Metamorphoses by Ovidius, each plate with the matching verses in Latin and a prose adaptation with explanation in German. "Seine Schriften, stark an Zahl, sind durchweg in scholastischer Form gehalten, nehmen dabei Rücksicht auf die Praxis. (...) Am meisten gebraucht wurde sein Enchiridion s. manuale Confessariorum (...) in nicht übertriebener casuistischer Form" (Wetzer I, 1778).
